AVS Attend the Cranleigh Show 2015

The Cranleigh Show returned on Sunday 21st June for its 69th annual appearance. The traditional country show, which typically attracts over 10,000 visitors and more than 200 trade stands, is a fun filled event for families, keen gardening fans, and anyone that fancies a fantastic day out.

This Year’s Important Attendees

In attendance at the friendly Cranleigh Show, were local societies, prize winning cattle and animals such as horses, goats, sheep and pigs. Countryside related demonstrations and tractor displays were also popular sources of entertainment for many of the show’s visitors.

Exhibitors such as ourselves were excited to be attending the event this year as it is a great place to show new and existing customers our range of products. Trade stands were exhibiting everything from cars to cider, so there was certainly something for everyone!

James Childs, who is the Show Chairman was pleased to report that ‘’livestock numbers were well up”. He follows by saying “we had twice the number of pigs, good cattle entries and lots of sheep and one of the stockmen said the show was like it used to be, with a lovely atmosphere”. He even went as far as saying the show was one of their best ever.

Playing our Part at the Cranleigh Show

AVS were proud to be the only fencing supplier in attendance. We were extremely proud to show off our extensive agricultural offering on a rural themed stand, featuring products from our recently expanded range of Rutland Electric Fencing.

We were also extremely pleased to award our prize draw winner, Mrs Christine Crosdil with a horse & pony electric fencing starter kit worth over £230.

AVS in the Agriculture Fencing Market

As AVS Fencing Supplies moves further into the agricultural fencing market, we look forward to attending more shows and events like this one.

Our very own Agriculture Sector Manager, Eddie Boyes, has the following to say about our decision to exhibit at the Cranleigh Show 2015 “It was important for us to attend and demonstrate our authority in this segment. We are a major player, particularly in the South East, for agricultural fencing, and it was fantastic to meet and greet our customers at the show.”
